Advancing faculty preparedness has become a fundamental factor in achieving internationalization in higher education institutions. Thus, this quantitative study, using a descriptive-comparative-correlational research design, involved 269 faculty members across Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in local colleges, state universities, and private universities on Negros Island and determined the extent of faculty cognizance, capacity, and motivation for internationalization during the academic year 2025-2026. The faculty's cognizance, capacity, and motivation were measured using a research-made instrument. Results revealed that the extent of faculty cognizance, capacity, and motivation for internalization is high. Results also revealed that there was no significant difference in the extent of faculty cognizance, capacity, and motivation for internationalization, a strong positive relationship between faculty cognizance and capacity in internalization, and a moderate positive relationship between faculty cognizance and motivation for internalization across local colleges, state universities, and private universities in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Negros Island. Thus, the result of the study served as the basis for formulating college policy and providing targeted support to advance faculty-driven internationalization initiatives.
